tosh is a culmination of a life spent creating.

Hello — my name is Holly, and I live on beautiful Bowen Island off the west coast of Vancouver, BC. I’m happiest when I’m in the garden with hands covered in dirt, or swinging a hammer to bring down a wall and open up a new, inviting space.

My mother always carried a hammer in her purse. She was the kind of woman that was more concerned with having the right tool than a lipstick, and opted to build houses and furniture over baking cookies.

She taught me that there’s always a solution, and one that shouldn’t cost a fortune, or compromise your vision.

It started with a dream.

From a very young age, I’ve wanted a shop — I would watch my mom run her store, Inglenook Interiors.  At home I would gather my favourite treasures from our house and display them in my bedroom. I would arrange, and rearrange all the furniture. I dreamed of creating spaces that reflected what I desired in a home — a place to recharge, calm, and inspire; a place to celebrate the individual, fuel creativity, and invite change. The result of this dream, is tosh.

I’ve spent a lifetime creating inviting spaces, inside and out. Houses and gardens have always spoken to me — it’s not about immediate change; creating is a journey. You can change the feeling of a space with a pillow, a unique vase, or a splash of colour. A cup of coffee tastes better in a beautiful mug that feels good in your hand. A meal is equal parts presentation as it is flavour.

tosh is a collection of beautiful textiles, elegant and everyday homewares, timeless décor, baby gifts, and garden treasures. There’s something for every space, and for everyone.

Mom (as a young woman)  A constant inspiration!

I’m sure she is smiling — she would have loved Bowen Island.
